Sherb Sentell III serves as a partner in the family-named law office, Sentell Law Firm L.L.C., in Minden, Louisiana. He focuses on litigation involving the defense of home contractors, personal injury, wrongful death, successions, oil and gas, corporate and contract law. Sherb Sentell III also has served over 24 years in the United States Army, as a Colonel on active duty and in the reserves. Sherb has also served his community in many ways including serving as a volunteer firefighter in Webster Parish District 10.

Sherb became a volunteer firefighter after getting a phone call that a grass fire was threatening his former home in the country outside of Minden. Sherb rushed home and helped the volunteers put out the grass fire. Afterwards, they asked him to join their ranks. Serving as a volunteer fireman taught Sherb to appreciate the risks and time commitment that being a volunteer fireman requires. Sentell said, “Serving as a volunteer fireman was a great experience, and we should all be thankful for the sacrifices that firemen make to protect our community.”

Sherb was so impressed with the volunteer firefighters and the service they provide to their communities that he later served on the Board of the Pine Country Education Center located at Camp Minden in Webster Parish, which is a firefighter education and training facility run by LSU.
