Minden-Ward 1 City Judge for the State of Louisiana, Sherb Sentell III also practices law at the Sentell Law Firm in Minden, LA. Formerly handling felony cases for the District Attorney’s Office, Sherb Sentell III has been sought as a speaker by organizations such as Penn State University, where he hosted a lecture on criminal prosecution at the Dickinson School of Law.

Established in 1834, the Dickinson School of Law prides itself on its ability to deliver innovative experiential education. The institution offers in-house clinics and internships to help students hone their skills in their specific area of law. Both provide opportunities to practice litigating on national and international cases.

The school also offers moot court competitions. The platform serves to advance problem-solving and writing skills as well as negotiation and advocacy techniques. Students can participate in civil and criminal trials as well as appellate advocacy. The latter provides experience in a variety of areas, including environmental and transnational law.
